New Year's Journaling Prompts
Embracing (or bracing for) the changing year with a lighthearted twist.
2022 was painful. Chaotic. Self-destructive. When I reflect on this year with only my thinking mind, I paint a picture through a disgruntled lens. I know the painting I’ve made doesn’t depict the whole truth, and because I’m in a particular end-of-year funk, my paintbrush is missing some obvious strokes: moments of immense pleasure, friendships grown in new soil, and concrete, measurable accomplishments.
Rather than let the grump in me rule the transition from this year to next, I’m choosing to sit down and look at the past year through a different lens. I’m choosing to face the coming year with intention. I’m choosing to see this ending and beginning as an opportunity to reframe, let go, and forge a path.
If you’d like to join me, the four part journaling exercise I’m using is below.
To access the journaling prompts, you’ll need to become a paid subscriber. Subscriptions are $5/month (or $50/year, 2 months free). By becoming a paid subscriber you’ll get access to future monthly prompts, my newsletter, & healing stories. I completely understand if this is not something you can commit to today. If it’s not, keep coming back for my free posts. I hope to support you in 2023 regardless of your budget. Big hugs as we enter the new year.
